Astrarium was recorded during the darkest time of year, just days before 2011 drew to a close- the time of year that both stars and planets are most visible. Songs were recorded in the echo of the kitchen and bathroom onto 4 track cassette, and then transfered to 1 track reel-to-reel for mastering. The individual guitar tracks join together as if teeth of a cog wheel. As if a mechanical representation of planets in orbit. The negative space between the notes is the black of space. The gentle 3/4 time is the rhythm of their axial spin, The crooked and haunting melodies are the bleak of the universe's expanse.
